How to Earn your Certification

  
To get your SSCP certification, you must have a minimum of 1-year work experience as a paid full-time employee in one or more of the seven domains of the SSCP CBK, which are:

  • Access Controls
  • Security Operations and Administration
  • Risk Identification, Monitoring, and Analysis
  • Incident Response and Recovery
  • Cryptography
  • Network and Communications Security
  • Systems and Application Security

If you do not have the required work experience, then you can take an exam to become an Associate of (ISC)2 until you have gained the necessary expertise.

After you have gained the experience, you need to appear for the examination to obtain SSCP certification.

There are two options to get trained for SSCP exam. You can either learn in Classroom-based training or take up an online course and learn from home.

The Classroom-based training costs around $3500 to $5000, and you need to be physically present in the classroom to learn. Though it is an interactive learning method yet, home-based education is far better.
