3 Things You Might Be Doing Wrong With Your Landing Page
A well-designed landing page can be the difference between success and failure in your business.
If you’re not sure how to design yours, or if you think you’re making some mistakes with it, make sure to check out this guide on 3 things you might be doing wrong with your landing page to find out if that’s the case!
Common Mistake #1 – Lack of A/B Testing
Too many businesses launch their landing pages and start driving traffic without testing it.
This is a huge mistake.
If you haven’t run an A/B test, you don’t know what works and what doesn’t.
Every business is different. Different industries, different target audiences, and different Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products will need slightly different messaging.
Testing lets you find out what resonates with your audience and leads to more conversions.
Common Mistake #2 – No Call to Action
One of the biggest mistakes many people make with their landing pages is not including a clear call to action.
The purpose of your landing page is to get visitors to take some sort of action, be it signing up for your newsletter, opting in for an e-book, or placing a request for a free SaaS trial.
If you don’t clearly tell people what they should do next, they probably won’t do anything at all.

Common Mistake #3 – Too Much Text on Page
One of my biggest pet peeves with web designers is when they load up their page with too much text.
Having a cluttered landing page will only overwhelm your customers, and it’s unlikely that they’ll read everything you’ve written.
They’re on your site to accomplish something; not read an essay about what you can do for them.
Put yourself in your customers’ shoes; if there was too much text on a site would you stay long enough to convert?
Chances are, no. Keep it simple and use concise language to describe why people should act now.
This will make it easy for customers to figure out exactly what you’re offering, which reduces confusion and increases conversions!
